In 2018 a new way of finishing the sculptures was needed which took some time.
Glazing involves building up layers of depth and complexity using stamping, underglazes, oxide washes, several types of decals, silk screening, glazes, and lusters. Layers add visually with color and also informatively with words and images. Additional elements such as mosaic and mixed media sometimes play a part.
